Chakra - 2012-02-12 - Archimedes ISO released
The Chakra Development Team has announced the first release of the KDE 4.8 series, "Archimedes" Chakra GNU/Linux that features Linux 3.2 and KDE 4.8.With this release KDE has been updated updated to 4.8.0 and kernel to Linux 3.2.2. This release features a variety of updates. Find out what all.
The major updates in this release include
- A new theme called Ronak
- Updated Qt, boost, subversion, phonon packages, libxcb stack.
- Switch to GRUB2 to be more compatible with other OS
- Chakra now in DVD and CD versions
- Additional packages can be installed from their repositories
