Microsoft Windows 7 is an oppurtunity for Linux, according to the Mark Shuttleworth, CEO of Canonical foundation, the official backer of Ubuntu operating system. Ubuntu 9.04 aka Jaunty Jackalope is latest among Ubuntu releases and is ready to debue on April 20, 2009. It has many new features and you can also get your copy of Ubuntu 9.04 for free. In his interview with Internetnews Shuttleworth said, "The benefits to consumers and industry of having an alternative are very substantial. Any change in the status quo is an opportunity."

One among the most important feature with the upcoming release of Ubuntu is the decrease in boot time. Boot time has decreased by almost half, according to many statistics, even with the alpha releases. Now thats called improvement  :-).
