Chromium Web Browser( Google Chrome for Linux ie ) has already won a lot of accolades among Ubuntu/Linux users and we have already seen how easy it is to install chromium web browser in Ubuntu. I am so impressed with this new chromium web browser, that i may even use it as my regular browser. Flash support is not available by default, but by a little bit of tweaking, you can enable it too. Here is how.

We have tested Chromium Web Browser in Ubuntu before and it was a huge disappointment. I was not even able to maximise the window while using Chromium . I think that was a few months ago and after reading some encouraging reviews elsewhere, i decided to give google chrome another try in my Ubuntu machine. I was in for a huge surprise.

Firefox 3.5 is now officially released. And everyone is so desperately looking for a way to upgrade. I was too. After googling for sometime i found that as of now there is no apt-get upgrade kind of stuff to upgrade to this newer version. But instead i tried ubuntuzilla, a python script. And it worked like a charm.

With everyday, firefox is getting closer to the final version of Firefox 3.5. Already several release candidates are out and now is the time for the third one. Firefox RC3 is released and is available for download, which have fixes for bugs and other improvements based on the feedback got from the previous release candidates.

IE is losing its market share rapidly according to data by webmetrics firm Net Applications. IE had seen almost 11 percentage drop in market share in the period 2008-09. And look who is gaining. Google Chrome and Safari is steadily increasing its market share. But the biggest gainer is obviously the open source stalwart Firefox.
