Open Office is one among those flag ship products in the world of Open Source. It is an Office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and many other. It works on Linux, Windows or Mac based systems. Open office has recently released the latest version of the office suite called Open Office 3.0 with many new upgrades. Ubuntu 8.10 is preinstalled with Open Office 2.4 and its time to upgrade. Its not yet arrived in the official ubuntu intrepid repo.
