Songbird - An Open source Music Player - Screenshots and Installation.
Songbird is a Music Player and a Web Browser combined. It is amazingly stable and easy to use software with plenty of plugins and themes. Songbird employs Mozilla's XULRunner platform, and is thus capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Solaris and GNU/Linux. Here is a quick review and some stunning screenshots of Songbird music player.

Songbird utilizes the GStreamer media framework. Songbird is able to get video feeds from youtube, picture feeds from Flicker and can load lyrics as well. And it is infinitely customizable.

Download Songbird 1.2 deb package for Ubuntu
If you are using Ubuntu Intrepid, please visit getdeb download page.
Installation
- Goto Accessories > Terminal and do
sudo dpkg -i path/to/songbird_1.2.0-1~getdeb1_i386.deb
- OR simply double-click on the downloaded deb package to install Songbird.
- That is it, Songbird 1.2 is ready to go. Launch Songbird from Application > Sound and Video > Songbird. Also, take a look at the addons available with Songbird.
Note: If you have an NVIDIA graphics card you may need to remove the libvisual-0.4-plugins package.(sudo apt-get remove libvisual-0.4-plugins)
