Awn Window Navigator or AWN is a dock like bar for Linux. Apart from enhancing looks with neat and simplistic appearance, it also provides many usability enhancing stuff as well. AWN can be customised and have plenty of plugins and applets to play with. DIsplay of progess of download in Mozilla, controlling music players etc are some of the examples for plugins. Installation instructions and some screenshots are given below. Take a look.

We will try to do the installtion without using command line as much as we can.

• Goto System->Administration->Synaptic Package Manager

• Search for the package:

                      awn-window-navigator

• Install the package.

• Along with this package, two additional packages also have to be installed.

                      awn-applets-python-extras

                      awn-applets-c-extras

• Thats it. Now launch the application.

                     application->accessories->Avant Window Navigator

• Customize it to your needs. Here are some screen shots.
