GNASH open source alternative

• Gnash is an open source alternative for the Flash player. It does not yet play all videos. 

• Goto synaptic package manager and install package flashplugin-nonfree

              System-->Administration-->Synaptic Package Manager and search 
              for the package flashplugin-nonfree.Mark for installation

• Or (from command-line terminal):

              sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

• To install Downloader for X simply run:

            sudo apt-get install d4x

• Or use Synaptic Package Manager under System > Administration menu, to locate and install the "d4x" package.

• For adblock plug-in (to block ads in a web page):

              Just type in the follwing command in Terminal for downloading and intalling the plug-in.

                               sudo apt-get install mozilla-firefox-adblock

• For image-zoom plug-in (to zoom images in a page):

              Just type in the follwing command in Terminal for downloading and intalling the plug-in.

                                  sudo apt-get install mozilla-imagezoom

• For Real player plug-in (automatically installs helix-player):

              Just type in the follwing command in Terminal for downloading and intalling the plug-in.

                            sudo apt-get install mozilla-helix-player

• For MPlayer plug-in (automatically installs MPlayer also):

             Just type in the follwing command in Terminal for downloading and intalling the plug-in.

• For VLC plug-in (automatically installs VLC also)

              Just type in the follwing command in Terminal for downloading and intalling the plug-in.

• For Flash plug-in:

               sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

• There's a known bug affecting the Flash plug-in in the Gutsy repo. Some people get the following error after executing the above command:

               md5sum mismatch install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz
               The Flash plugin is NOT installed.
